Who we are…

Jesus promised: “…I will build My church” (Matthew 16:18). Our goal is to be the church which Christ built. Being a “church of Christ” means being Christ’s people – this means being the same as the church we read about in the Bible.

“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). The Lord makes those who are “being saved” His church. To be saved, one must believe and obey the gospel (Romans 1:16).

Like those who were first added to the church, we hear God’s word and believe (Acts 2:42; Rom. 10:17). We repent of (change our minds and turn from) sin (Acts 2:38), confess our belief that Jesus is the Son of God (Rom. 10:9-10), and are “baptized… for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38). And then, the Lord adds us to His church (Acts 2:47). This who we strive to be, no more and no less.

We are a diverse group, coming from every walk of life. Among us you will find singles, young families, students, business workers, professionals, young people and senior adults — all relying on God’s forgiveness and grace as they strive to glorify God through the lives they live.
